The new Greenbriar Local Park had its grand opening on November 5 to a huge and excited crowd. The park is located on Glen Road near the Potomac Oak Shopping Center near Travilah Road and is also accessible by the new Ride On bus route 301, as well as by car. This park offers 25 acres of natural open space for the enjoyment of residents and neighbors, including a regulation soccer/football field, a basketball/multi-use court, a grass volleyball court and two playgrounds for school-aged and younger children. The park is the first themed park in Montgomery County so we encourage everyone to check it out! The theme of the park is “The Journey of a Raindrop” where visitors can learn about watersheds, wildlife of the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay.
