{"id":877,"date":"2018-10-31T10:39:17","date_gmt":"2018-10-31T15:39:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northpotomacnews.org\/?p=877"},"modified":"2018-11-01T18:33:28","modified_gmt":"2018-11-01T23:33:28","slug":"pepco-trail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northpotomacnews.org\/?p=877","title":{"rendered":"PEPCO Trail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new Pepco hiking and biking trail begins at the Hoyles Mill Trail in South Germantown Recreational Park and meanders for roughly 2 1\/2 miles until it terminates at the Seneca Creek Greenway Trail.\u00a0 It picks up again south of Seneca Creek at the Seneca Ridge Trail and continues on for another 6 miles until just north of the Muddy Branch Creek in North Potomac.\u00a0 It is the result of a partnership agreement with Montgomery County Parks and Exelon Corp.\u00a0 Pepco was required to allow trails to be built along its utility lines in the county as part of its merger with Chicago-based energy company Exelon, which was announced in 2014.
