Niche.com released the 2021 ranking of “Best Places to Live in Maryland” this week<\/h2>\n

On Monday, the website released the 2021 ranking of ‘Best Places to Live in Maryland’ \u2014 and North Potomac is No. 1.<\/p>\n

Niche.com uses data from dozens of public sources, including the U.S. Department of Education, FBI, and Census Bureau to compile a comprehensive assessment of the overall livability of an area. The website compiles statistics throughout the year and also takes into account thousands of reviews.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Rankings are based on a number of factors, including the cost of living, higher education, housing, public schools, diversity, and nightlife. Each community is then assigned a grade, on an A+-to-D- scale.<\/p>\n

Here are this year’s top 10 communities:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

  2. North Bethesda<\/li>\n
  3. South Kensington<\/li>\n
  4. Ellicott City<\/li>\n
  5. Potomac<\/li>\n
  6. Bethesda<\/li>\n
  7. Chevy Chase<\/li>\n
  8. Rockville<\/li>\n
  9. Columbia<\/li>\n
  10. Travilah<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    According to Niche.com, the pandemic has changed the way people live and work, with many “thinking hard about where they want to live if they no longer have a daily commute.”<\/p>\n

    “In the past year, many people have become more mobile than ever before. Especially if they’re able to work remotely, people are asking themselves where they really want to live,” Luke Skurman, CEO and founder, said in a statement.<\/p>\n

    “Our rankings are designed to help our users find the next place they want to call home based on their unique priorities.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
